5 New Features Added: Get To Know Your Fans with Redesigned Facebook Pages

Facebook has introduced the redesigned Facebook Pages experience that brings new looks and features to help businesses, content creators, public figures, and marketers in community building. The redesigned page layout focuses on easy navigation between personal profiles and pages, task-based admin control, Q&A format for engaging fans, safety, and integrity to achieve business objectives through community building.

According to Facebook, the new page experience is simpler and more streamlined than before. However, the talk of the town is the removal of the public like counts that focuses on how people connect with their favorite pages. With a redesigned page layout, the social media giant has removed the like button to give a priority to the number of followers on a page over the number of likes.

The number of followers on a Facebook page is more important as they receive regular updates about page activities. Your followers are your real fans who actually engage and interact on a post.  Facebook said in a blog post,

“We are removing Likes and focusing on Followers to simplify the way people connect with their favorite Pages. Unlike Likes, Followers of a Page represent the people who can receive updates from Pages, which helps give public figures a stronger indication of their fan base.”

In addition to this major change, Facebook has introduced some key features for businesses, creators, and marketers to achieve business objectives in more productive ways.

As part of its effort to make Facebook a safe place for page owners and fans, the company improves its ability to detect activities such as hate speech, violent, sexual, or spammy content and impersonation that are not allowed on the platform.
